What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell in your body. Your cells use it in the chemical reactions that turn food into usable energy and in normal cell repair. NAD+ levels tend to decline as we age, which is why researchers and patients have become interested in it. Many of my patients ask about NAD+ as part of their energy, focus and healthy-aging routines.

I want to be straightforward with you: human research on NAD+ supplementation, and on the nasal spray form in particular, is still early and limited. I'm happy to talk through what is known, what isn't, and whether it makes sense for you. That's what the consultation is for.

How to use your nasal spray

1Gently blow your nose first.
2Shake the bottle gently if the label says to. Prime a new pump by spraying away from your face until it produces a fine mist.
3Tilt your head slightly forward, place the nozzle in one nostril, close the other nostril, and spray while inhaling gently, not forcefully.
4Repeat in the other nostril if your instructions say to.
5Avoid blowing your nose for 1–2 minutes afterward.
6Clean the nozzle and store the bottle as directed on your label.

Always follow the dose and directions on your prescription label.

Common questions

Is NAD+ nasal spray FDA-approved?

No. It is a compounded medication prepared for an individual patient under a prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing.

What results can I expect?

Individual experiences vary, and specific results cannot be guaranteed. Amanda will talk through what is and is not known so you can make an informed decision.

How long does a bottle last?

Each 12 mL bottle contains 3,000 mg of NAD+ (250 mg/mL). Each spray delivers 25 mg, so a bottle holds about 120 sprays. How long it lasts depends on your prescribed number of sprays per day, which Amanda sets with you at your consultation.

Do I need a consultation?

Yes. NAD+ nasal spray requires a medical evaluation and prescription. Your initial virtual consultation is complimentary, and NAD+ is prescribed only when it is medically appropriate for you.

Can I use NAD+ with my GLP-1 weight-loss medication?

Some patients ask about adding NAD+ to their care. Amanda reviews your full medication list and health history before recommending any combination.

Who can get NAD+ through Nuvo?

Adults located in Florida, subject to a medical evaluation. Nuvo is a telehealth practice, so your visit happens from home.
