Updated October 2026. This guide explains how milligrams, milliliters and syringe units relate for Nuvo Wellness & Health's compounded tirzepatide concentration of 15 mg/mL. It is general education, not a personal dosing instruction. Always follow the prescription label and the instructions Amanda gives you. Do not change your dose on your own.
Nuvo's typical tirzepatide progression at 15 mg/mL
The unit amounts below apply only to a 15 mg/mL concentration measured with a U-100 insulin syringe, where each unit is 0.01 mL (100 units equals 1 mL). Nuvo supplies a U-100 50-unit (0.5 mL) syringe.
Units to milligrams: what your syringe line means
If your label lists your dose in units, this chart shows the matching amount in milligrams at 15 mg/mL on a U-100 syringe. Each unit is 0.01 mL, which is 0.15 mg at this concentration.
Common tirzepatide doses in units at 15 mg/mL
Many online charts list the dose steps used for the brand-name products (2.5 mg, 5 mg, 7.5 mg and so on). Here is what those amounts would measure at a 15 mg/mL concentration. Several of them fall between syringe lines, which is one reason Nuvo's progression uses 3 mg, 5.25 mg and 7.5 mg, amounts that land on whole units.
How to convert milligrams to syringe units
Two numbers are needed: your prescribed dose in milligrams (mg) and the concentration printed on your vial label in milligrams per milliliter (mg/mL). Divide the dose by the concentration to get milliliters, then multiply by 100 to get units on a U-100 syringe.
This is why tirzepatide charts from other sources often disagree. Compounded tirzepatide is made in different concentrations. At 10 mg/mL, for example, the same 3 mg dose would be 30 units, not 20. A chart is only correct for the exact concentration it was written for.
Before each injection
Do not estimate a dose or copy someone else's instructions. If you are uncertain about the correct syringe line, pause and ask for help before injecting.
If you use birth control pills
Tirzepatide can make oral contraceptives less effective. FDA labeling advises switching to a non-oral method, or adding a barrier method, for 4 weeks after starting and for 4 weeks after each dose increase. Talk with Amanda before you start.
Missed or delayed doses
Do not double a dose. Contact Amanda for guidance if you miss a dose or are unsure when to take the next one.
